Dance Education Consultant Justine Reeve aims to support dance and the performing arts in educational settings and to also ensure that these are a valid and vibrant part of our UK education system. Consultancy aims to support young people, schools, teachers, dancers, choreographers, dance artists and dance companies to achieve high standards of participation, learning and creativity.

Justine has been offering bespoke support and consultancy to teachers, centres, exam boards and dance professionals for over 20 years. This could range from a one to one planning meeting with a dancer, to sharing delivery of workshops, writing resources for exam boards, delivering CPD and writing educational resources for dance companies.

Support For Schools And Teachers


  • Do You Want To Deliver Dance In Your School?

    We can advise on specifications, create resources, lesson plans, curriculum planning, and schemes of work. We can provide you with videos for use in the classroom and other practical guidance. We can provide in-house INSETs on dance for KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, Post-16 and beyond. Or we can give you the resources and connections to help get your school dancing. 

  • Do You Need Dance Support With Limited Funding?

    If you need that little bit of extra support where there isn't the money available to attend a CPD or the space to take the time off timetable we can help. We can provide in-house sessions/training or skype support meetings tailored to your needs. We understand that budgets are small and want to ensure that support is available for you. 

  • What Is An On-Line Training Session?

    Each mentoring/training session is bespoke and therefore is led by you. You won't sit through something that may not be relevent, it would be a conversation. Mentor/training sessions come in units of one hour and conversations can be via skype,zoom,  facetime, google hangouts or phone. Book in as much time as you want, when you want, on demand.

  • What Support Do You Provide For Dance In Primary?

    We aim to inspire the confidence to deliver dance effectively and safely, ensuring a high quality dance curriculum from Early Years through KS1 to KS2. We encourage young people to build confidence, engage in creative pursuits and be given the opportunity to reinforce learning practically. We are keen to bring your curriculum to life using dance to support other areas and topics.

  • What Support Do You Provide For Dance In Secondary Schools?

    We can assist teachers in developing and acquiring the knowledge to deliver effective dance classes and qualifications confidently. We can inspire confidence with KS3 and KS4 dance delivery. We can advise with KS3 assessment without levels with both the GCSE Dance and Btec Tech Award in Performing Ar

    We have many existing resources already available in our resource bank including: videos, technique class videos, music for choreography, lesson plans, SOW, creative tasks, projects, workbooks and much much more. Please get in touch to find out more.

    The use of dance language that we use when creating, performing and touring dance pieces in the professional sphere can often be quite different from the tone of  language used within dance in education. If you are looking to start a dialogue with schools about your work, or develop these relationships we are here to help you.

  • Do You Want To Review Your Current Educational Package ?

    We can help you to create appropriate dance resources and exciting education packs to help support your creative output. We can advise on content and ensure that your work is relevent to the national curriculum at all levels: Pre-school, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and Post-16 and beyond.  We can cast an eye over your current education package, provide constructive feedback, or engage in the planning and creation of bespoke resources.

  • Would You Like Practical Workshop And Participation Advice?

    We can help plan you plan your practical workshops, dance sessions and youth projects. We help you explore what is educationally beneficial about your dance practice and performance pieces making best use of your potential.  We can provide the CPD training of your participation leaders and ensure that workshops are exciting and enlighting.

  • What Can We Help With?

    We can write your education pack and review your current education packs and school offers. We can help you to plan your schools workshops and residencies and train your dance leaders. We can help to 'sell' your work and discover what is educationally advantageous as well as encourage school groups to come and watch your work. If you want to out source all your education work we can step in and provide high quality admin, resources and marketing of your participation programme.
